Please note: The Post office is changing their processing centers which has caused delays in delivery. Please order earlier than normal to ensure the bow arrives prior to a holiday or occasion.

Etsy has a Seller/Buyer Protection Program with Qualifying orders up to $250 (including shipping and tax). Please be mindful of the 250$ threshold and break your order up into multiple orders. I will have to cancel and ask you to rebook the order to keep under that threshold. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns.

I ship Monday thru Friday and most Saturdays. Saturday is a short Post Office Day (closes at noon). I typically ship 10:30 am Saturday morning. I only ship via USPS so Sunday orders will ship on the next business day. I make a lot of bows to order so if you purchase late in the day M-F or early Saturday, I might not have enough time to prepare your order for the PO on a particular day. If you have a question about my processing times, please message me. My goal is to ship as soon as possible.

1/25/24 I am suspending the use of the 2 bow box size. Bows will ship individually. I have always looked to provide savings on shipping when I am able. USPS employs auditing processes that tend to delay the 2 bow box size. With expectations being set for delivery that do not include the added processing for larger boxes (boxes are re-routed to different distribution centers when the box is a certain size adding additional days to delivery timeframes).

-I ship bows USPS Priority Mail- Please provide your post office address.
-If you have delivery concerns, please message me before purchase.
-USPS Only guarantees shipping on Priority Mail Express.
-USPS Priority Mail does not guarantee your box will arrive as scheduled.
-I do not guarantee shipping. I will do my part to get your items completed and shipped.
-Sign up for text or email alerts on your tracking numbers on the applicable carrier websites. USPS.com.
-I will monitor deliveries, assist with missing package requests and insurance claims. The Post Office has a 30 (from expected delivery date) day waiting period for filing Missing Package claims. Example, the box expected delivery on Jan 13, the claim on the box can not be submitted until Feb 13 up to March 13.
-USPS does not pay claims on packages that have a Delivered status. Please file a police report if you suspect that your package was stolen. Please monitor your deliveries to ensure someone is able to grab the package for you if you are not home or put a vacation hold on with USPS.
-If your package arrives damaged, pleases contact me on Etsy Messages immediately upon receipt so that I can assist with filing a claim. USPS Priority Mail has an insurance feature. Photographs of the box before opening and the contents inside the box will be needed for the claim.

Please message me prior to ordering about customization. It is helpful if you know the size you are looking for (width and length, purpose of the bow, and colors).

Please keep an eye out on messages from me to help the communication process. Gaps in communication make it particularly difficult for me to offer Custom Designs.

If you are thinking about a special tree topper or bows for the Holidays, please contact me in July-Sept to ensure the best ribbon selection. If you can give me a heads up on color/style, I can keep an eye out at my suppliers. Deposits may be collected for custom ribbon orders.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take custom or personalized orders?

Current Shop Status is updated daily in my "About" Section and has information about customization and processing times.

Custom orders are welcome but during peak order periods may become limited as I need to meet my processing timelines for open orders. In 2022, I will not be accepting custom orders from October 15th thru the end of the year. Please message me prior to your order to ensure that I am able to accommodate your request.

Small changes to an existing design may be accommodated during the peak period. Changes (widening and lengthening may result in an additional charge.

Please stay engaged and respond to messages to ensure a smooth process. Communication delays make it difficult to offer customization.

Damaged Packages

If your box arrives damaged, please contact me immediately upon receipt and take photos of the box from every angle so that I can help file an insurance claim. USPS Priority has an insurance feature. Once the claim is paid, I will refund your purchase.

Upon receipt of the bow, please review the directions on how to remove the bow from the box with care.

Cancellations

Blue Hills Garden Craft does not accept Cancellations

I ship orders very quickly often within hours of an order being placed. It is expensive once a package enters the USPS system. Please send me a message if there is an issue.

If the order has shipped, USPS has Box Redirect/Retrieval capability for $15-$20 per box. To initiate the box retrieval, BHGC will need to collect the retrieval fee from the customer. The box(s) will ship to the customer's local post office and will be redirected at that time. Once I receive the box back, I will refund the order.

Are your bows suitable for hanging outdoors?

The materials used in our bows are considered durable to outdoor exposure unless noted in the item's description. We would recommend hanging your bow on a door that has a slight overhang to protect from snow or drenching rain. Unfortunately, over time, as with anything left outside, the sun will fade a the bow materials. Store your bows well in the off season and you will likely get multiple seasons. A season is considered a month at a time (e.g., Halloween bows would be hung for the month of October).

Bow loops do not hold up well to driving rain and snow. Please open the loops after the storm or remove until the storm passes. The bows come with wire that enables easy reattachment.

Shipping Policies

All shop items are shipped USPS Priority Mail. Contact me for local pickup or expedited shipping options.

1 Bow will ship in 1 Box while 2 bows can be put in a larger box. 3 bows will arrive in 2 boxes - 1 small & 1 larger and 2 labels will be purchased.

Items are shipped only to the address provided at checkout for your protection and to prevent fraud.

Please enter your USPS Post Office Address when checking out to expedite your orders.

Lost / Stolen Undeliverable Packages

Blue Hills Garden Craft is not responsible for lost or undeliverable packages. USPS Tracking Numbers are provided on orders. Please sign up for USPS text alerts so you can monitor the progress of your order. If you aren't going to be home, please ask a neighbor to secure your box or put a vacation hold on your box with USPS.

USPS will not honor the insurance claim if the box is in a Delivered status. Please check with neighbors to see if the box was dropped nearby. USPS also has GPS data on boxes, please inquire at the local post office.

I am not responsible for incorrect addresses, please review your shipping address upon checkout. If the box hasn't shipped, please send me a message or refer to USPS.com for Package Redirect.

Returns and Exchanges

All sales are final, however we believe in our products and stand by them. Since there are handmade items there could be a time when a Bow or item may have a defect. In that event you may exchange your item in its original packaging only for another bow of the same value or be refunded the full purchase amount. Refunds will not be completed until item is shipped back to Blue Hills Garden Craft. You will need to contact Blue Hills Garden Craft within 2 business days of receipt of your item. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Please photograph damage to the bow and packaging. Postal insurance claims require the box and contents as well as photographs to process a claim.

Shipping Delays

I ship orders as soon as possible and record the current status of my shop in the About Section. I do my part to fulfill orders and drop my boxes to the post office to ensure they get into the postal system within my stated processing timeframe.

Every box is shipped with a USPS tracking number. Please sign up for text alerts at USPS.com

I am not responsible for delays with the Shipping Carrier. If you are concerned about shipping, please ask me prior to purchase and I can look at recent orders to give you a sense of how things are flowing. It is reasonable to expect delays in the last quarter of the year. Etsy has projected delivery times however, I don't know how those are determined and the accuracy of those estimates.
